The room decor was stunning, especially the traditional Portuguese tiles! The breakfast had delicious pastries, but the coffee service was too slow. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the service could use some improvement. 😊

My kids wished there were more family-friendly room options to accommodate extra beds. The pool situation wasn't ideal when the outdoor one was too cold for swimming.

    stylish renovations
    cozy room
    limited restaurant options
    overlooked street noise
    no outdoor dining area

Stylish renovations blend comfort with history. Cozy room featured a spacious bathroom with dual shower heads. The scenic location allowed easy access to attractions and a nearby tram for downtown exploration. Breakfast included a fantastic array of European selections and delicious crepes. Service was top-notch, especially guidance from the concierge regarding local activities.

    wellness spa
    historic significance
    poor breakfast

The wellness spa facilities impress with clean, well-designed spaces, including a calming pool area that visually matches promotional images. The historic significance of the location enhances the overall experience, making it an appealing spot to unwind.

Breakfast fell short of expectations. items like porridge were dry by mid-service, and overall variety lacked freshness. The spa's peace was disrupted by noisy guests, including teens that shouldn’t have been there. Also, the sauna was out of order throughout my stay, which was disappointing for a hotel branded for relaxation. Sadly, maintenance issues lingered with damaged areas presumably from water intrusion, and the HVAC system left the room uncomfortably hot with no recourse. Navigating the complicated light switches added some unnecessary frustration.

    charming, charming, charming

I was completely smitten by the unique blend of historic charm and modern luxury in this place. The buffet breakfast was an absolute standout, featuring local pastries like mini Pasteis de Nata. Plus, the serene spa was a perfect retreat after a day of exploring, topped off by a lovely indoor pool that melted all my stress away!
